Sunpak 522 working very well with Sony NEX-6 (old professional studio flash)
Being happy with my NEX-3 for two years, I was looking for a way to use a NEX camera in studio conditions. The Sony NEX-6 implements a new multi interface connector inside an ISO hot-shoe. So it is mechanically compatible with old flash from the film era.

Simply by using an old flash bracket and an optical flash trigger you can use an old computer flash including it auto exposure cell.
Then you will be able to bounce the light on the ceiling or on the wall with your SONY NEX
Macro extension rings for Sony E mount
With my Sony Alpha 700 DSLR I have used macro extension rings for my M42 lenses. I felt that the Sony NEX with it’s awesome live-view implementation would be a good macro camera when combined with extension rings for E mount.
Seagull SYK-5 Wireless Remote Flash Slave Trigger : strobist with Sony NEX
With the Sony NEX 3 or 5 there is no way to trigger a remote flash with the provided small flash. Sony has not implemented the wireless protocol that is implemented with all the Sony Alpha DSLR. As a strobist photographer, I was looking for a workaround.
The Seagull SKY-5Â is the only solution as far as I know.
